Common Sense Education
Common Sense Media (CSM) is a non-profit organization that provides education and advocacy to families to promote safe technology and media for children.
It offers education programs for schools and other organizations to use with students and parents. The goal of these resources is to help young people learn how to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in today's ever-changing digital media world. More than 75,000 schools and over 158,000 educators around the world are using these resources.
Cambridge International School is a Common Sense School. The school takes a whole school Community approach to preparing its students to use the immense power of digital media to explore, create, connect, and learn. This initiative is aimed at limiting the risks that exist in the online world, such as plagiarism, loss of privacy, and cyberbullying. In particular, CIS has introduced Digital Literacy in the curriculum and the aim is to harness technology with free research-based classroom tools for learning and life. The K-12 Digital Citizenship Curriculum teaches our students how to make safe, smart, and ethical decisions in the digital world.
